Why are American parties so lame (weddings, reunions, birthdays, batisms, etc.)?
OK, the American ones I went to everyone was like BYOB and everyone was all worried about keeping up appearances.
Then I experienced a hispanic Catholic baptism and an Indian wedding. They went no holds barred on the food and music. Best food, caterers, DJ, drinks. Even the old people were cutting loose.
Why are we so stuck up at social functions.
OK, the American ones I went to are upper-middle class WASP Virginia. They just seem kinda lame for some reason.
