My friends and I want to start up a metal band.Using all types of metal music.Nu ,Industrial ,Progressive ,Black ,Death ,Hair ,Doom and other varities.There’s 8 of us(white, black, hispanic, jew, asian, arab, native american ,and indian(from india not the people who wear feathers)odd as it sounds.A DJ,Keyboard player,two Guitar players,one Bass player,a drummer and two of us sing(sometimes I play guitar).Does anyone think this is a good idea…..I mean I know some “real” metal fans(personally)who say Nu and Industrial metal **** but everything else is good.Would anyone listen to a band like this??????We have one gig coming up next week.Any advice for the first time gig???Thanks in advance.

may notice something..four guys and four girls…guess what everyone of us is in a straight relationship.Another odd fact about the band there.Bad thing is one of the relationships take a turn for the worse…we’ll be screwed then.LOL

OK, the American ones I went to everyone was like BYOB and everyone was all worried about keeping up appearances.

Then I experienced a hispanic Catholic baptism and an Indian wedding. They went no holds barred on the food and music. Best food, caterers, DJ, drinks. Even the old people were cutting loose.

Why are we so stuck up at social functions.
OK, the American ones I went to are upper-middle class WASP Virginia. They just seem kinda lame for some reason.

Like i feel relaxed or should i switch to techno or trance, maybe some DJ tiestO, anyone?? Like raggae, you can’t hear what they are saying, sounds like they are speaking jaimaican but its actually english. theres also indian music that got good beats too and B-Boy music is bouncin, its cool

ok, well yesterday i was at the mall, there I saw a friend well I wouldn’t call him a friend, more like an acquaintance that I was crushing on…..we both were sitting at the food court….and I caught him looking at me a few times, when that happened i just smiled and blushed him too…..it was really romantic…then after a while he started spraying me with cologne he told me it was his mark…..is that bad or good? Later on that night I was at a party where his cousin was the dj…ooh he was cute…whenever i was talking to him he would smile….he was really cute…i asked him if i could take his john’s (shades) and he said that depends when i will give them back…i told him i wasn’t going to give them back he said that he couldn’t let me take them and smiled…i stole them and told him to try to stop me,he smiled and said he will.at the end of the party i took them…i plan to give them back at church next sunday.i like him and his cuz wut to do? ps i am indian say it in my place

My In-laws asked if it was okay for them to throw me a baby shower and invite their friends and family and I said that sounded wonderful. I now have found out that baby showers in their culture are huge deals. I just got through planning an Indian wedding (I am American) and they are trying to get me to help plan this baby shower. Its going to be in a hall with caterers, DJ, etc.

I have no idea what I am getting myself into. Has anyone thrown or been to an Indian baby shower? They are from Gujarat if that is any help.

I should mention I am Italian American, so I really don’t know what is to be included…
Actually for the Indian DJ in northern NJ this is one of the cheapest we could find. They go from about 900-2100. So that kind of *****.. haha
